Last night at the Valley High Junior Prom Things went all wrong She was left there on the steps outside And called her mom Said “Pick me up and don’t delay” I I’ve got so much to say I could go on and on, bout the junior prom Last night at the Valley High Junior Prom They played our song I looked at him, he held me tight For awhile then saw someone He said “this was nice but I can’t stay” My ex girlfriend is getting away I heard they fell back in love at the junior prom Boys will be boys but no one will love you like I do

Buffalo Gal 03:07
Have you ever seen the sunshine like it shines down on Cancun? One day we will fly, leave this town in the rearview Oh say Mary, Let’s board a dream for two Have you ever seen the night sky radiate above you? Just say the word and I might lasso down the moon The harmony that we sing, rings true Won’t you come out tonight? (Buffalo Gal) Everyone of our friends has got a place of their own Do you think this house is haunted? Throw a rock and break a window Make a wish, that love like this is home Won’t you come out tonight? (Buffalo Gal) What if I was a millionaire before The age of twenty-two? What if we never had a care, Would it mean that much to you? The way you look at me assures me that no matter what I do We’re gonna shake the dirt off our feet and bring paradise to these abandoned rooms. Won’t you come out tonight? (Buffalo Gal)

Stargazer 03:36
I’m a star, In a sea of constellations That fell from outer space left to float Moon afar, radiates unending While we’re all slowly sinking, letting go The breaking of the waves is the end But the stillness in the air is her breath She is a laser, my stargazer Keeping me beaming despite all my failure She is the sunlight chasing my eyes She is what holds me up I’m a ghost, In a house of apparitions with the The stench of unforgiveness in the halls Her alone, walks the grounds to find me Though the dark is disconcerting, still she goes The spirits been here since time began But disappears with the reach of her hand Gravity is pulling I can hear her calling
4.
Mansions 03:29
House, On a hill In the woods is calling And now, I guess I’m still Obsessed with falling In love with things That start off a mystery and end up just hurting me…Evil things We’ve been searching mansions But all we found was a bat cave And one may have bit me So I need a vaccine To make it go away We’ve been searching mansions But all we found was a mistake We Wanted to see But we left with disease That’s all I can say Dead, in my head But I’m sure it’s nothing Cause Men, much better men, Have explored and floated Up to the shore This old place and hiding some secrets worth finding But things got worse Lost and lost in love I think I'm lost, I'm lost in love And I’m calling on my phone To you..unknown
5.
Call Me 03:06
You got my eyes and my brown hair You got my mouth when you say you don’t care But you’ve had your mommas' gentle heart from the start Pulling us close when we’re apart Out in the street, up in the air No matter how far I will be there I know you don’t need to be rescued, do you You've got your own battles to lose If you got the time, you got the time call me, call me When you don’t know why but you wanna try. Call Me, Call Me tonight When the worlds asleep and out of touch And what you were sure of don’t add up The notes that we play cut through the noise, oh boy a song will fill the void Time don’t mean a thing If life keeps happening Take a chance and breathe Ride the road that leads
6.
Some old cowboys lost his horse Got a guzzler and a muzzle And he don’t know which is worse Still he thinks of home on the range And saddles up the hearse Hey mama we’re you hurt? Roaming undercovers With that stroller and your purse Time is the enemy and only gets worse Sheila's seen that side of me And she’d be the first to say She wouldn’t change a thing today Asleep at Live wire Shuffling through relics Don’t know if they’re inspired The flag in the rear view has just been retired It’s a head trip, How we cycle like this Back and forth The road’s shallow, the oceans a dead end But her compass points north
7.
I know how to hurt, you I know how to hurt, you Say the things I want to say when shouldn't say em' Give you what you love, then take it all away Maybe I'm afraid I know how to break you I know how make you Feel like number one, than pull the rug out from under Put you up above, than roll the clouds over your shoulder Maybe I'm afraid My excuses have all run out I'm sorry the light went out In me
8.
Big Bad Love 02:30
I told her bout the Airheads poster up on my wall And showed her all the Green Day t-shirts I got from the mall I wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t call A guy who spends every week at the record shop I said, d'you wanna watch some TV? Then put on old home movies Pretended I could speak La francaise' So that she might kiss me Than later on I wrote her a song A language I knew too well if she liked grunge rock If home is where the heart is Than I got a Big Bad Love If home is where the heart is Than I got a Big Bad Love I told her bout the time last summer I was fired from the store For locking my new manger Behind the bathroom stall door I had problems doing what I was told But promised I would grow up before we grew old I said take a chance if you feel the same C'mon take my hand if you’re going my way Love is strange and something you can’t change
9.
Headlights 03:06
Two o’clock in the afternoon And I can’t stop thinking of you Wondering if you think about me to Every hour so far away Though we’re passing by each day Something’s missing, we’re on a different page But when the sun goes down You’re all around We shine this way, like Headlights, Headlights Yeah we shine this way, like Headlights, like headlights Even something that blinds you Can fade in the rear view I know we’ve said things that we regret For reasons why I still don’t get It won’t be very long till we forget Cause when the sun goes down You’re all around There are times We don’t see eye to eye And just look away and hide Before too long We both seem to find Our way back towards the light
10.
We’re just getting started We’re scratching the surface And this world is such a wonderful place To the broken-hearted Who thought they could hurt us Well, we never knew you anyways Cause we’ve built a garden Next to the ocean And the tide is behind us now And we’ve got our reasons To sleep in all season If we never feel like going out Me and Sheila at the edge of town Everyday is the weekend Like we used to dream of When we worked ourselves to the bone Faking our absence Then getting back in bed so maybe it could feel like home We’d stand in the rain Through Our Own Parade Cause we know we’ve got it going on We’ve been through the maze Of finding our way And now we’ve finally made it out Looking back, Faces we see Haunt our memory You can’t attack, the chemistry Not even history We’re getting out, we’re getting outta here
11.
Started out with one note And then I met you The words were stuck in my throat Till one became two The chords would touch the heavens When our hands would meet A third a fifth a seventh Would be our family The meter fell in time When your eyes saw mine Your heart found every sentence And your beauty every rhyme Don’t take my keyboard away We still got some songs to play We found a melody in Our every mistake If life is but a moment You have no outtakes When hell was at our feet The refrain was out of reach We struck the black notes To keep the magic happening When hope is running out And nothing's added up The sting of death is looming over us We can take it back to the top

about

After their longest ever break between releases, The Easy Button are back with a new album:Through Our Own Parade. In a change of approach from their "kitchen sink" of an album, Lost on Purpose, the band aimed for a much more cohesive collection of songs with greater consistency in both musical style and lyrical themes. Though steeped in melancholy (this IS The Easy Button we're talking about), Through Our Own Parade also weaves a more positive thread within the overall tapestry. Taken from a lyric in the song, "At the Edge of Town," the title conveys the difficulty of having endured something heartbreaking to emerge on the other side stronger, changed for the better and in view of brighter days ahead. Put simply, "this too shall pass," even for us sad boys.
